Unveiling of Connected Africa Summit 2025

In a significant step towards strengthening digital participation across Africa, the ICT Authority has officially unveiled the Connected Africa Summit 2025 (CAS25). The event brought together leading figures from the digital economy, public and private technology sectors.

The ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy (MICDE) Dr. Margaret Ndung'u, Principal Secretary State Department of ICT and the Digital Economy, Eng. John Tanui and Principal Secretary of the State Department of Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Prof. Edward Kisiang'ani, CEOs from public and private sectors, among others.

Dr. Margaret Ndung'u, in her keynote address, emphasized the summit's pivotal role in advancing digital participation across Africa. “CAS25 is designed to build upon the successes of previous events, driving forward our mission to foster digital inclusion and innovation throughout the continent,” she stated.

The Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy announced plans for the second edition of the Connected Africa Summit which will be held in Kenya and hosted by the ICT Authority. An event that will bring together leaders, policy makers and stakeholders from across the continent to advance the digital transformation agenda in Africa.

Hon. Sylvanus Maritim Chairman, ICT Authority Board of Directors on his part highlighted the success of Connected Africa Summit 2024 as a true testament of the power of collaboration which could not have been achieved without real dedication and belief in Africa's digital future.

ICT Authority CEO, Stanley Kamanguya in his remarks stated that, the Authority is committed and open to collaboration to enable set up a true digital hub in a true digital market not only in Africa through the summit but also the rest of the world.
