Technical Committee

The technical committee includes technical heads from the implementing agencies and key stakeholders.  This committee is crucial in the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme and is further divided into implementation teams based on the priority areas.

These teams are:

Digital Content Management Team

This team provides a framework for the provision and approval of academic material to be used in learning.  This material comes in many forms including text, audio and videos files, graphics, animations, and images. The team is made up of

Technology & Infrastructure Team

This team helps to identify, acquire and set up the equipment for the programme.  This includes digital devices for the pupils and teachers, internet connectivity, storage and servers, power connection and hardware, and learners’ desks.

Teacher Capacity and Administration Team

Teachers are essential in the programme as they provide the personalized guidance and assistance to pupils as they adopt digital learning.  This team is building the capabilities of teachers to deliver digital learning to pupils through a teacher training module.

Communication Team

The communication team is crucial in managing the interactions in the programme within the executing multi-stakeholder team, partners, and with the general public.

Logistics & Contracts Team

This team develops a framework to source and perform due diligence on all procurement processes for the contractors and suppliers relevant in the programme’s implementation.

Partnership and Assembly Team

This team is charged with the responsibility of assembly of the digital devices and related accessories.  Among the key deliverables of the programmes is local assembly of the devices and the team is working with different partners to make this a reality.
