Uniform Domain and Sub-Domain Names for Government Bodies
The ICT Authority is providing common standards and naming conventions to be adopted for Internet domain names in government websites.
This will help in:
- providing uniformity to government websites
- making it easier for the public to search and recognise government offices through common keywords and minimum effort
Specifically, this new naming standards are applicable to organisations established by an Act of Parliament or government regulation including a Government Department or Agency; a County Government entity; a Statutory Authority; or other defined Government body.
To make an application government bodies are expected to fill and submit the Domain & Sub-Domain Names Request Form.
